We wanted to share with you some of the adjustments we have made to our facility operations.  This is out of abundance of caution for our staff, guests, and community.  We have made many internal changes to our business procedures, but we wanted to share the ones that will affect you when inside the building.  In addition to our own policies, we are always following all the safety guidelines from the CDC and the Dane county health department to ensure that our space is safe as possible for our staff and guests.  Please note the important effective dates below for each.  Just like any good dog training we will need everyone’s participation.  Please review the following to familiarize yourself .

 Safety Protocols

·        Limiting extra personnel in the building.  Max 2 people per dog.
  ·        Reminders to stay at home if sick for staff and students
·        Promote hand washing expectations and ensure supplies are available
··       CSZ reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who doesn’t follow the guidelines

Client Participation
CSZ has always considered our clients and their dogs as family.  Never before has it been more important to come together as a team to navigate through the new normal.  Each client is integral to the success of the of CSZ and we need all your participation. Here is what to expect:

Because we are an “enclosed space open to the public” masks must be worn at ALL times, through April 9th, per Canine Sports one building mandate, even during private ring time training. Yes, this means even if you are in the largest area in the building, with someone that is in your household when we are open to the public.

We have extended the building mask mandate through April 9th, 2022 for of our classes, events, ring times or anytime inside the building:
Masks are required for everyone for all CSZ classes, private training times,  private lessons; basically at all times within the building, regardless of vaccination status.
Our policy on this is now through 4/9/2022.
Starting April 10th, 2022 Canine Sports Zone will go to a Masks Recommended when inside the building.
PLEASE continue to:
* Maintain a minimum of six foot distance from instructor, students, and dogs at all times.·
Do not arrive more than 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time and exit within 15 minutes after scheduled time.
* Wash your hands often and for at least 20 seconds.
* Use hand sanitizer or wash your hands if you touch commonly touched surfaces or equipment, doorknobs, gates, training equipment, etc.·
* Do not attend or enter the building if you are ill or if you or someone you live with is quarantined
* Foot pedal sink (touchless) in hallway will be more easily accessible and have adequate supplies.
Thank you!

Astro arena –  We still recommend bringing your own crate for multiple reasons, however there are now  6 public crates available to those using Astro for either classes, ring times or lessons.   This went into effect 6/23/2021  A couple of things to remember if you use these provided crates:

If Astro is occupied by a class prior, it may be possible that no crates are available when you arrive, thus bringing your own crate is greatly recommended.
Crates are first come first serve. Crate reservations are not being taken
Please do not ask someone to leave a crate so a specific crate can be available.
Crates should not be moved from their location.
Dogs in these crates are in close proximity and dogs using them should be well behaved being crated close together.
Please leave the crate DRYER and cleaner than you found it.
Please do not arrive more than 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time to claim a crate.
These crates are for dogs scheduled to work in Astro during the time they are crated there.
Canine Sports Zone is not responsible for accidents, misuse, or injuries, ect when using these crates.
*We would like to continue to offer this service. Please help us do that by following the above

Clifford crating area: Chairs are now available on the  carpeted area outside of Clifford to the south side of the speaker.  These chairs are for public use and should be left clean and dry after use.    As always you can certainly bring your own chair, however, please do not leave it.

Dane County Public Health: https://publichealthmdc.com/coronavirus/recommendations-and-guidance

If you’ve had a cough, a fever, if you have been around anyone exhibiting these symptoms within the past 5 days or living with anyone who is sick or quarantined, we ask that you stay safe do not enter the building.

We sincerely appreciate your support now and over the past 2 years.  As these circumstances are ever changing, they will require our constant attention and reevaluation.  We ask that you please be patient with us as we make the necessary adjustments,

On a personal note, I will share with you while vaccinated, I will currently continue to wear a mask when teaching as I recognize that like all vaccinations  it is not 100% effective,  I  have a young child at home, and frankly really enjoyed not getting a cold or flu in the past year.    My point of sharing this,  is to demonstrate while still following the guidelines above,  there can be many personal reasons behind an individual’s mask, or no mask choices.

Please join us in following the guidelines above and keep everyone here happy and healthy.

Gratefully,

Shawna

These guidelines will be adjusted to meet the changing needs to keep everyone safe.
